Countryside Cooking Class Menu
The menu
The current Countryside Cooking Class menu for July 2021 includes all five of the following dishes:
- Wild vegetables mixed with rice
- Simmered zenmai (fern)
- Mixed sansai (wild vegetable) soup
- Countryside style eggplant tempura
- Tofu topped with walnut nanban
Ingredients utilized in the July 2021 menu:
- Rice
- Wild vegetable mix (rice)
- Wild vegetable mix (soup)
- Walnut Nanban
- Zenmai (fern)
- Carrot
- Konbu kelp
- Deep-fried tofu
- Eggplant
- Kogomi (fern)
- Tofu
- Perilla leaf (shiso)
- Noodle soup base
- White sesame seeds
To prepare at home
Please make sure you have the following equipment and ingredients before the class begins:
- A rice cooker with a 2 cup or greater capacity
- A stove top with 2 or more burners
- Salt
- Cooking oil
- Soy sauce
- Sugar
